Race Fans...

I really do mean "race fans" and I'm not just saying that. Jimmy Joe Pete and I were at the Hendrick Motorsports offices yesterday and who happened to walk by... none other than Dale Jr. carrying a large jar of pickles. Why he had the pickles I do not know. He proceeded to what looked like a big beefy BMW sedan, all black with black tinted windows, and then pulled out of the parking lot.

I suppose it should be expected being here in NASCAR country, but for those keeping track that was my 2nd NASCAR encounter. If you recall, my first was a lunch with Jimmie Johnson last October.

Enough about that, it's NFL kickoff night...
ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!!!

Dave was in "...Winn-Dixie" of course. Makes you wonder about Dave - he's played a slow adult, an autistic savant and the new video is a bit kooky.

The Long Road: A Music Lover's Concert History

UPDATED - Sept. 29, 2025 I've been doing some extensive research lately, compiling all the concerts and music artists I've seen since over my lifetime. Maybe a little nutty, but what a long, great trip it's been. So many amazing memories, I should really do some in-depth posts about the times and places, but for now just wanted to get the entire history together and sorted all in one place. I'm actually thinking of building a web app/site to do this that's better than what's out there, if even for myself. What's funny is the memories I've run across. I also found that social media is good for helping track down and determine certain event dates in my timeline, or to rule out a date because I was out of town or doing something else.
