A Pilsner Evening

Hola all, hope everyone is having a good evening!

Tonight my beer selection is Pilsner Urquell or "original pilsner" and is from my ancestral homeland, the Czech Republic. While not as bold as my typical favs the IPAs, this the father of all pilsners is always a tasty brew.

This week I replaced my Motorola Q with a Blackberry Curve, and today I picked up a 2 GB media card to make lots of room for photos and video. For a test run, I decided to record the pour of my Pilsner Urquell. The video below has obviously been edited on the computer, but was shot on my Blackberry.

For techies out there, I found it easiest to convert the video file from 3GPP to an MP4 file that I was able to open and edit in Sony Vegas software. I downloaded a free converter program from the Web to make the conversion. There are lots out there, just do a search for "3GPP video converter."

Lots of rain this week and again this weekend -- so what else is new? Can't wait for the nice, warm sunny days to return!

The Long Road: A Music Lover's Concert History

UPDATED - Sept. 29, 2025 I've been doing some extensive research lately, compiling all the concerts and music artists I've seen since over my lifetime. Maybe a little nutty, but what a long, great trip it's been. So many amazing memories, I should really do some in-depth posts about the times and places, but for now just wanted to get the entire history together and sorted all in one place.
