John Adams Rocks

I wanted to post this sooner, but I caught the first two installments of HBO's "John Adams" mini-series on Sunday and it was amazing. If you're not into history you may not be of the same opinion, but I was drawn into the story from the start and can't wait for the next episode this Sunday. If you don't have HBO, I'm sure it will be available on DVD after its initial run on HBO. I don't want to say too much about the show, especially the opening which is a piece of history many people don't know about John Adams, but I was thoroughly amazed watching the scenes depicting the Continental Congress in Philadelphia. I felt like I was actually there watching history unfold. The making of the show is just as amazing to see how they recreated late-1700s America. Catch it if you have a chance.

I second that. I originally checked it out only because of Paul Giamatti, but I was thoroughly drawn in...and I'm not a history buff either. This truly feels like being a fly on the wall at crucial historical events.I predict lots of Emmy Awards, for performances and in technical categories, too. -- Terri
